1. Information we collect
Information you give us. When you request a consultation or contact a member of our team through the Site, we collect what you enter in the form:
- your first and last name, company, email address and phone number
- the area of your inquiry
- the property or borrower name and the property address
- the summary of your needs and any other details you choose to share
Our email list. Our consultation form includes a box to join Brighton Capital Advisors’ VIP list. The box is checked when the form opens. If you leave it checked, we keep your name and email address so we can send you market updates, insights and news from BCA. You can uncheck the box before you submit the form, and you can ask us to remove you at any time.
Information collected automatically. When you visit the Site, our analytics and security services collect standard technical information: your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, how you arrived at the Site, and the date and time of your visit. We also record when a contact form is submitted and when a phone number on the Site is tapped, so we can measure how visitors reach us. These records do not include what you typed in the form.
2. How we use information
We use the information we collect to:
- respond to your inquiry and assess whether and how we can help with your loan or property
- contact you about your request by email or phone
- send you updates from BCA if you joined our VIP list
- understand how visitors use the Site and improve it
- protect the Site against spam, fraud and security threats
- meet legal, regulatory and record-keeping obligations
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising on other websites.
3. Cookies, analytics and outside services
The Site uses cookies and similar technologies, some set by the services below. These services process information on our behalf or provide features on the Site, under their own privacy policies.
- Google Analytics: measures visits, pages viewed, form submissions and phone-number taps (Google Privacy Policy).
- Google reCAPTCHA: protects our forms from spam and automated abuse (Google Privacy Policy).
- UserWay: provides the accessibility menu on every page (UserWay Privacy Policy).
- YouTube, Spotify and SoundCloud: play the videos and podcasts embedded on our pages; they may set cookies when a player loads or is used (each provider’s own policy).
- Cloudflare: delivers the Site securely and protects it from attacks (Cloudflare Privacy Policy).
- Wordfence: website security and login protection (Wordfence Privacy Policy).
- Website hosting provider: hosts the Site and its form submissions (the provider’s own policy).
- Microsoft 365: delivers form submissions to our email (Microsoft Privacy Statement).
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The Site will still work, though embedded players and some features may not. To opt out of Google Analytics on all websites, you can use Google’s opt-out browser add-on.
4. How we share information
We share personal information only:
- with the service providers listed above, so they can run the Site and deliver your messages to us
- with lenders, servicers, attorneys or other parties involved in your matter, when you ask us to act for you or give us permission
- when required by law, court order or a government request, or to protect our rights, our clients or the public
- with a buyer or successor if BCA is involved in a merger, sale or reorganization
We do not sell or rent your personal information to anyone.
5. How long we keep information
We keep inquiry details for as long as needed to respond and, if you become a client, for the length of the engagement plus seven years for our records. We keep VIP list details until you ask us to remove you. Analytics data is kept for up to 14 months.
6. How we protect information
The Site uses encrypted connections (HTTPS), a security firewall and spam protection, and access to form submissions is limited to BCA staff who need it and the web team that maintains the Site. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Your choices and rights
- Email list: uncheck the VIP list box on the form, or email us to be removed at any time.
- Access, correction and deletion: you can ask us what personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it, unless we must keep it by law.
- Cookies: you can control cookies in your browser, as described in section 3.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under your state’s privacy law. To make a request, contact us using the details below. We will verify your request and respond within the time the law requires.
8. Children’s privacy
The Site is intended for business and professional users. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Links to other websites
The Site links to other websites, such as news articles, podcasts, LinkedIn and Facebook. We are not responsible for their privacy practices. Please read their policies when you visit them.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top shows when it last changed. Significant changes will be noted on this page.
